How to be alone

It’s August and the school year fast approaches; students who know each other will be together again, and new students will make new friends and join the academic community. It can be a time of powerful connections, but also loneliness.  Old friends and family are left behind. The daily reality of college life doesn’t always live up to “best years of your life, best friends you’ll ever make” expectation.  Check out this beautiful video and poem by Tanya Davis and Andrea Dorfman, “How to Be Alone.” You’ll be ready and maybe even eager to make the most of your solitary moments:
