Jott: Get Simple Back

If you’re like me, you are mostly likely to think of things that really should get written down on a shopping list when you have no paper and pen at hand, and regularly, when you are away from your computer, think of emails you mean to send or calendar items you need to record.  Well, if you have a cell phone handy during these times, lose action items no more.

Jott is a free and simple-to-use service that records voice messages and converts them into emails, lists, and calendar items.  If you’d like to try it out, go to the Jott website at http://jott.com and click on the Sign Up for a Free Account button. You’ll be asked for your phone number so the system recognizes you automatically when you call from that phone, and your email so that the system can send you messages.

If you’d like to read more about Jott before trying it out, Kevin Purdy of the blog LifeHacker wrote a good post about it: Get Things Done Over the Phone with Jott.
